RECOMMENDED TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE

Protect your investment in your trip. Unforeseen events or illnesses to yourself or your immediate family, traveling companions, business partners, or certain other persons can affect your carefully planned trip. We recommend you purchase trip cancellation insurance coverage that would reimburse you for all nonrefundable airfare, the total value of your trip, and trip cancellation fees should you change your travel plans before or during your adventure.

For Non-USA Residents: please secure travel insurance within your home country for your travels with INCA.

For USA Residents: Your policy choice will depend on your needs. If you need to cover a pre-existing medical condition or would like Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR)* coverage, you only have a 15- to 21-day window (depending on carrier) from the time your trip deposit is received by INCA to secure these options. Basic coverage can be purchased at any time as long as the premium is received by the insurance carrier before you depart.

We recommend two companies: Travel Insurance Services and Travelex. Both companies have provided excellent customer service and quick responses to our guests. Please take the time to review the plans carefully. Some plans have caps on amounts covered.

For USA residents who may need to cover the possibility of work commitments interfering with travel plans, we recommend looking at Travelex’s coverage which includes employment-related reasons for cancellation.

EMERGENCY EVACUATION AND MEDICAL INSURANCE

INCA requires medical emergency and evacuation insurance coverage of at least $100,000 for all adventures.  INCA provides stand-alone $200,000 coverage, called MedEvac200, for a nominal fee. The cost per person (adult or child) for this coverage depends on the length of the trip (subject to change):

$22 - 1 to 11 days
$42 - 12 to 21 days
$71 - 22 to 36 days
$95 - 37 to 48 days

If you are already covered or have purchased coverage elsewhere, we will remove the MedEvac200 policy from your statement upon proof of coverage. Please note that this insurance is exclusively for the policyholder’s medical emergency. It does NOT provide any coverage for losses to the policyholder or their travel companions that are caused by other reasons such as, but not limited to, trip interruption, trip cancellation, delay en route, lost baggage, loss of life, or for items that would be covered by trip cancellation insurance (see above).

DISCLAIMER

INCA is not an insurance professional, insurance expert, or insurance provider, and therefore the above information only represents our understanding of the available insurance coverages and their rules. INCA assumes no liability or responsibility for the terms and conditions of any insurance coverage. To be certain of the coverage you have purchased or are planning to purchase, please consult the insurance companies. A copy of the MedEvac200 policy will be furnished on request.
