INCA Explorer's Club

What is the INCA Explorer’s Club?

Welcome to the INCA Explorer’s Club. As we near our fiftieth birthday, we want to thank those of you who have made the many travel memories and stories of half a century of world exploration possible. Find Your Next INCA Adventure

  • Antarctica is our most remote destination for the avid and courageous adventurers who want to see it all. As unique as any place on earth, the southernmost part of our world teams with life. Penguins live by the thousands on islands that seem just for them and their leopard seal neighbors. The ocean is full of whales and the skies are full of albatrosses, caracaras, and dozens of other species of sea birds. By the time you return home your camera roll will be so full of stunning images that you will need months to sort through the trip of a lifetime.

Special Departure: Across the Southern Oceans with Richard Polatty | Jan 5 - Jan 23, 2024

  • For us, Alaska has some of the most pristine wilderness we can find. A cruise through the Alaskan panhandle moves from one incredible landscape to another—where humpback whales feed, orcas and otters play, and eagles fly above a dense and healthy forest. Summers bring long days with fresh seafood and a glass of wine as the sunsets late in the evening. Each day holds a new animal, hike, or kayak. A week in Alaska feels like two, and even then you won’t wish to come home by the time the trip is over.

  • Darwin’s isles are our most popular destination. INCA adventures designed by founder Bill Roberson began in 1980 after he became a naturalist guide and saw the potential for meaningful trips to the Galapagos. The archipelago is a shining example of what we love about travel; from the islands’ significant history to the density of wildlife, to the Park’s dedication to preservation, the Galapagos is a destination that inspires awe in us all. Even if you have already been, each trip provides a new surprise. Take it from us—we have been going for over 40 years!

  • We first visited Patagonia to get to know ourselves by spending time in its immense wilderness. Our trips here are a dive into the serene and formidable landscapes of mountains, llanos, and the altiplano. To experience the wonders of giant glaciers, the animals of the plain, and the simple but delicious cuisine of the area is to disconnect from the pace of city life and slow down to meet each moment with your full attention.

  • Our original destination, Peru is the place that started INCA. The Andes Mountains, once home to the world’s largest empire of its era, are a walk back in time. From the majestic and ancient lands, spotted with the remains of the unimaginably advanced Incan civilization, to the modern culture that is a center of art, local crafts, and culinary innovation, Peru is magic at every turn.

  • We were drawn to Turkey in the 1990s for its clues to the dawn of civilization along a coast so beautiful there is not a meaningful enough adjective to describe the turquoise waters and charming seaside towns. In a Turkish-style sailboat called a Gulet you will slowly wander from one archeological site to another, learning stories of ancient human history while enjoying spectacular cuisine and, finally, experiencing one of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities, Istanbul.

  • Our only true Safari destination, a trip to Zimbabwe is all about the animal kingdom. Each day spent in the wildlands of this southern African nation brings you up close to the life of a place filled with some of earths giant creatures. From drives into the safari to river cruises, the awesome is always within view for anyone with a curious mind and open eyes. We always return home from Zimbabwe’s Hwange National Park rejuvenated and thrilled about life on earth.
