Good News: Penguins May Be the Unlikely Climate Heroes of the Antarctic

Antarctica, known for its penguins and icebergs and, more recently, it’s fragility, has a surprising by-product on it’s side. Not only good for their cute, waddling nature, the penguins that huddle on the white continent are helping keep it cool–by ahem depositing ammonia rich guano, and in turn, clouds, in their wake.
