Updated Galapagos Entry Requirements

Galapagos has effectively reached 100% vaccination status. In order to protect the remarkable gains made in the islands, the government has tightened entry requirements to protect against spread of COVID variants.

Effective September 11th 2021, for travel to the Galapagos Islands., all travelers over 2 years of age must present a negative result of an RT-PCR test performed up to 72 hours prior to boarding the flight, whether or not they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

For more detailed information, see the US Embassy and Consulate in Ecuador https://ec.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information-ecu-2/ or your own country’s embassy website.

When flying to the Galapagos, all travelers pass through temperature checks, disinfection matts, must use hand sanitizer, and wear facemasks at ALL times. Luggage is sanitized before and after its inspection by the Galapagos biosecurity and quarantine control agency. The biosecurity protocols are repeated upon arrival in Baltra airport.

Entry requirements are reviewed periodically by government health authorities. We will endeavor to provide the latest requirements at all times.
