Mashpi Lodge

Mashpi Lodge

Perched at 3,117 (950 meters) above sea level. Mashpi Lodge is nestled between lower montane rainforest and cloud forests in a 2,500-acre private reserve. Dedicated to research and protection, the five-star hotel, together with its guides and conservation staff are at the heart of sustainable tourism and forest preservation.

The Lodge

A stunning, contemporary, modernist design blends perfectly with its natural environment. Glass walls and a décor that mixes warm earth tones, steel, stone and glass provides an oasis of luxury in the middle of the forest.

Accommodations

The lodge’s 20 Wayra Rooms measure 366 square feet (34 square meters) and are spread across three different floors. The 13 Twin and 7 King rooms all feature floor-to-ceiling windows. The 3 king-bedded Yaku Suites measure 495 square feet (46 square meters) feature a large bathroom with twin washbasins and Philippe Starck-designed bathtubs that have a view into the forest.

Activities

During your stay, you will have the opportunity to explore miles of jungle trails, waterfalls, observe flora and fauna with native guides, climb the observation tower, ride the dragonfly cable-car or aerial bike.

Wildlife

Each elevation is host to a range of species from tree frogs to hummingbirds; from elusive jungle cats to monkeys; from colorful butterflies to a variety of reptiles.
