Named after H. M. Queen Silvia of Sweden, and with her gracious permission, Reina Silvia operates carefully arranged natural history adventures in the Galápagos Archipelago.
Reina Silvia will undergo an extensive reconfiguration in Fall 2010 to provide an even more comfortable Galapagos cruise experience. The first INCA adventures on board the new Reina will be November 2010.
Built by Lydia Inc. of Stuart, Florida, USA, Reina Silvia is 90 feet long. She will take groups of 12 to 16 like-minded Galápagos adventurers with a highly trained crew of eight, including a multilingual Class III naturalist guide
Reina Silvia will accommodate her guests in six cabins. Two cabins are doubles which can be configured with either two double beds or one king-sized bed. The four additional cabins are are furnished with two lower beds and one Pullman-style bed. They will be considered doubles and used as triples only upon request. All cabins have en suite facilities including shower, lavatory and vanity.
The yacht is fully air-conditioned and features up-to-date security, navigational and communications equipment, including satellite telephone. From the well-equipped galley excellent cuisine is offered in the spacious dining room. Drinks are served at the bar or on the large upper deck.
The yacht has a swimming/diving platform aft and an extended bow for whale and dolphin watching. A desalinator plant provides all the freshwater needed.
