Galapagos Islands with Dr. Linda Cayot of the Galapagos Conservancy

10-day adventure aboard the Integrity

August 19-29, 2010
July 2011
July 2012

A special collaboration between INCA and the Galapagos Conservancy. These unique departures are a treat for wildlife enthusiasts. You will have the company of two experts: Galápagos guide Richard Polatty and Galápagos wildlife and tortoise expert Dr. Linda Cayot.

The Galapagos Islands, located 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador, are the most sought after adventure destination. Admired for their unusual wildlife, surreal volcanic landscapes, and dramatic equatorial skies, the unique island environment provides the perfect setting for those interested in photography, hiking, bird watching, snorkeling, and kayaking.

This 11-day expedition, unlike any other Galapagos cruise, has been designed by the most knowledgeable experts on Galapagos. With our highly experienced naturalist Richard Polatty and our tour leader, Galapagos Conservancy's Science Advisor Linda Cayot, and guest speakers from the Charles Darwin Research Station, you’ll learn about the biological, evolutionary, and geological history of this unparalleled ecosystem.

At the Charles Darwin Foundation, enjoy the exclusive opportunity to go behind the scenes and gain insight into the groundbreaking efforts being made to keep the Galapagos Islands as pristine as they were when first discovered in 1535.

Picture yourself in Charles Darwin’s shoes, as he voyaged to Galapagos more than 150 years ago. Come see the creatures Darwin saw and more—a mind-boggling array of fascinating, fearless birds and other animals.

The Integrity is widely acknowledged as one of the most luxurious small boats operating in the Galápagos, and time spent aboard is a delight in itself. .

This special adventure trip price includes round-trip Galápagos airfare.

Exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Charles Darwin Research Station

Itinerary Summary

Day 1

Arrive in Quito, Ecuador. Overnight in Quito.

Day 2

Fly to Galápagos Islands. Visit Santa Cruz Island's lush highlands en route to the Royal Palm Resort. Welcome dinner and overnight at The Royal Palm Resort.

Day 3

Visit the Charles Darwin Research Station, meet researchers and go behind the scenes. See the conservation and hatching programs. Hike to Tortuga Bay. Board the Integrity at dinnertime. Start our Island cruise!

Day 4-9

Live aboard the yacht and spend as much time exploring the islands as park rules permit. We have at least two shore visits each day, timing them to avoid the large cruise ship groups. We have several chances to swim and snorkel during our week. Each night we travel on to another unique island.

Day 10

Have breakfast on board Integrity, then disembark and fly back to Quito for dinner and overnight.

Day 11

Depart for home, or on to other adventures.
